  • A portion of Toril's sibling world Abeir violently exchanges places with large section of Chondath and western Chessenta. Displaced genasi from the Abeiran land of Shyr quickly set about creating a kingdom of their own.

    The former expanse of the Sea of Fallen Stars is altered when wide portions of the landscape collapse into the Underdark. When the sea level reaches its new equilibrium, the average drop in water level measured nearly 50 feet. The waters of the Vilhon Reach were similarly drained, uncovering several drowned ruins from ancient Jhaamdath.

    The shallow Gulph of Luiren is formed when the hin nation is swallowed up by the Great Sea. »

  • Genasi from the Abeiran land of Shyr set about creating a kingdom on their new planet. »

  • 1486 DR [Year of the Nether Mountain Scrolls]

  • Gilgeam gains aid from the demon lord Graz'zt in his war against the genasi forces of Shyr. Graz'zt provides Gilgeam with an army of demons to bolster his forces in exchange for powerful Abeiran magic items. »

  • Nightal 15 Members of the Liberators of the Steel Sky accomplish the impossible and opened a portal to Abeir in the Catacombs of Djerad Thymar, believing they would save the dragonborn inhabitants of that world. »

  • Nightal 25 One of the maurezhi demons granted to Gilgeam by Graz'zt, whose mission was to infiltrate and debilitate the Shyran defenses, is accidentally sent to Toril through the portal in the Catacombs of Djerad Thymar. After killing all members of the Liberators, the maurezhi begins to accomplish his mission on Djerad Thymar instead, eventually killing Vanquisher Tarhun. The maurezhi is killed by Thymari defenders but, without a Vanquisher, Tymanther is left weakened against a potential invasion. »

  • Nightal 26 Enlil returns to Toril, called for help by Kepeshkmolik Dumuzi, Enlil manifested in Djerad Thymar in the shape of a dragonborn, and stops the process that was about to return Tymanther to Abeir, thereby choosing the dragonborn as his new protégés. »

  • Nightal 26 Unther returns to Toril.
    Gilgeam leads his forces to lay seige to Djerad Kethendi in an attempt to recover the ruins of Unthalass, starting the First Tymanther-Unther War. »

  • 1487 DR [Year of the Rune Lords Triumphant]

  • Abeir begins to re-separate from Toril in the spring, heralding volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. The process is completed by the fall.

    Evermeet, Lantan, and Nimbral (all nations thought lost to the Spellplague) send ships to the mainland, along the Sword Coast and the coast of the Shining South (region).
