  • Tam Zawad, a priest of Selune, meets the dragonborn bounty hunter Mehen and his two adopted tiefling daughters Farideh and Havilar. Tam helps them foil a plot by devils in Neverwinter.

Later, Tam is ordered by his Harper master to investigate antiquities in Waterdeep, presumably to keep them out of Shadovar hands. He comes into the possession of a page from an ancient Netherese magical book. This page leads him and his associates (Mira, Farideh, Havilar, Dahl Peredur, Brin Crownsilver and mercenaries allied with Mira) travel to the hidden library of Tarchamus the Unyielding near Everlund. The group is successful in reuniting the page with the sentient book the page was taken from, the Book of Tarchamus, and Farideh is able to destroy the mummy Tarchamus himself (although the mummy's consciousness lives on inside the book, which falls into the possession of Tam). They unfortunately destroy the library in the process.

During this time, Tam discovers that his Harper master was actually an agent of the
Zhentarim. Tam returns to Waterdeep and using the Book of Tarchamus to telepathically interrogate him, confirms his master was a traitor. Tam presumably hangs his Harper master for treason. »
