After the death of Rhimnasarl, the qysar betrays Iryklathagra, keeping the silver dragon's hoard. In reaction to this event, Iryklathagra establishes a secret lair of her own elsewhere in the Marching Mountains and set about building its defenses. »

  • Iryklathagra launches a reign of terror on the lands surrounding her lair in the Marching Mountains that bedevils a succession of qysars. »

  • 322 DR [Year of Seven Scales]
  • Iryklathagra brazenly confronts Shoon VII, the great-great-great-grandson of Shoon IV. She settles onto Q ysar's Square before the Imperial Palace in Shoonarch and dares the q ysar to respond to her presence. After several days of tense negotiations, the blue dragon departs peacefully with a fraction of the hoard she claims as hers. Instead of delivering the treasure, Shoon attacks the dragon, starting the Sharpfang Battles. »

  • 358 DR [Year of the Battle Talons]
  • Open hostilities resumes between Iryklathagra and Shoon VII, a battle that again visits destruction upon Valashar during a rare visit by the qysar to the periphery of his domain. »

  • 366 DR [Year of Molten Anvils]
  • The last of the battles between Iryklathagra and Shoon VII earned the dragon her common appellation of "Sharpfangs", as the blue dragon shattered and nearly bit off the qusar's left arm and right leg during the conflict. Shoon VII and his nemesis battled in the skies over Shoonarch and among the streets of the slaves' city just outside the city center. »

  • 367 DR [Year of Shying Eyes]
  • Shoon VII stages his own "death". Feigning incapacitation stemming from his last battle with Sharpfangs (Iryklathagra), Shoon VII places his daughter Shaani on the throne and manipulates her into poisoning her apparently infirm father. Secretly immune to the poison's effects, the former qysar is now free to research a transformation to lichdom. »

  • 450 DR [Year of the Corrie Fist]
  • Iryklathagra goes to pick over the bones of the Shoon Imperium on the fourth day of the Shoonarch Conflagration, the great fire set by Tethyr's army.

    After a brief talk with King Strohm, the great wyrm blue dragon destroys and plunders buildings among the Imperial Mount above city proper and claims much hidden magic for her own, including Ghazir the Desert's Edge, which had been fabricated with magical lore gleaned from the long dead silver dragon, Rhimnasarl's research.

    Many of the treasures Iryklathagra seized were once part of Rimnasarl's hoard or had been derived from the lore seized from the great silver dragon by Q ysar Shoon IV. (Janhyra's Tome, also known as the Tome of Secrets, was one of the few artifacts that lay within the vaults of Shoonach not to fall into her claws, and she spends much time trying to track them down). Sharpfangs keeps to his word and never uses Tethyr as a hunting ground. »

  • 671 DR [Year of the Shrouded Slayer]
  • Iryklathagra hunts amid the grasslands of the Shaar, and seizes the Fanged Shields of Shyk Korort from a gnoll shaman of Yeenoghu.

    Outbreak of internal strife amoung the Shaaran gnolls. Gnoll raids against the Lapal League diminish significantly. »

  • 1018 DR [Year of the Dracorage]
  • Iryklathagra emerges from her lair and joins the massive flight of dragons ravaging Faerun. In a series of conflicts that lasted for nearly a month, Sharpfangs battled the defenders of Mintarn along the shores of the Lake of Steam, devastating that city and sinking many local ships in the process. When Iryklathagra finally retreated to her lair, she left Mintar largely in ruins. A few surviving magelords, who for years had labored to acquire power in the shadows of Mintar's government, emerges as the new leaders of the city by promising to protect the populace from future wyrm attacks. »

  • 1128 DR [Year of the Peryton]
  • The Magelords of Mintarn rebuild their city after the attack by Iryklathagra during the last rage of dragons and plot their revenge against the dragon also known as Sharpfangs. Although their magical divinations finally revealed the site of the blue dragon's lair, plans by the magelords to destroy Iryklathagra were forstalled by their own defeat at the hands of the Harpers. In the chaos that ensued in Mintarn, the lore regarding Sharpfangs that had been gathered by the magelords fell into the hands of the Skeletal Finger thieves guild, a band of rogues active throughout the South. »

  • 1162 DR [Year of the Prancing Centaur]
  • Members of the Skeletal Fingers thieves guild invade Iryklathagra's lair in hopes of stealing some of her legendary hoard, but they succeed only in awakening the blue wyrm from a long sleep. Enraged by their temerity, Sharpfangs retailiated by attacking the Skeletal Finger's secret redoubt in the depths of the Small Teeth and slaying every member of the guild.

    Because of her former lair's inviolability had been compromised, she then moves into the guild's vacant stronghold, transforming it into a nearly impregnable lair.

    Among the many coins, jewels, and artifacts, she recovers the Monocle of Bagthalos, a little known relic sacred to Helm. »

  • 1271 DR [Year of the Shattered Wall]
  • The Ahlors Protectorate is ravaged by an attack from an unexpected quarter. Iryklathagra, exploring a saline environment wholly unlike that in which she was born by means of an iridescent ioun stone, plunders the trade city of Otanyn. In addition to seizing a fortune in pearls, she makes off with Kayas the Krakenscourge and the corpse of the weapon's last triton wielder in her claws. The Krakenscourge has since lain unused in her hoard. »

  • 1362 DR [Year of the Helm]
  • Iryklathagra, now a great wyrm blue dragon, occupies the chapter house of the Skeletal Fingers thieves guild in the depths of the Small Teeth. She transforms the trap-filled citadel into a nigh-impregnable lair. »

  • 1369 DR [Year of the Gauntlet]
  • Highharvestide The lich Priamon "Frostrune" Rakesk and the alhoon Ralayan the Ocultacle of the Twisted Rune kidnap Halaster Blackcloak from his seat of power in Undermountain. Halaster's Highharvestide results in the destruction of the village of Geniste and other chaos across Faerun, until his rescue by a group of adventurers.

    Piergeiron Paladinson destroys the dracolich Kistarianth the Red on the slopes of Mount Waterdeep during Halastar's Harvestide. The transformed red dragon was slain in life by Piergeiron's father, Athar the Shining Knight.

    The female old blue dragon Araugauthos the Bluetalon escapes from Undermountain during Halaster's Highharvestide. After slaying a great wyrm red dragon that laired near Citadel Amnur and claiming his hoard, she flies south to rejoin her mother Iryklathagra. »

  • 1373 DR [Year of Rogue Dragons]
  • Uktar 13 Blackwill Haarken Akhmelere, using the ancient Calishite artifact known as the Golden Lamps of Samesaj, repairs the eastern tower and rebuilds the western tower of the Twin Towers of the Eclipse, thereby erasing any evidence of the affront to Cryic caused by the actions of Iryklathagra during the Rage of Dragons and the mysterious being known as the Sojourner. »

  • Iryklathagra succumbs to the Dracorage and attacks and shatters the eastern tower of the Twin Towers of the Eclipse before returning to her lair.

    Her lust for destruction unsated, she reemerges from the Imperial Mount at the heart of Shoonach (suggesting the existence of a portal linking her lair to the ruined imperial capital) and flies south to Calimport. Barred by a mythal from unleashing her fury on the Pasha's Sabban, home the Symbolic heir to the qysars of Shoon, Sharpfangs turns her wrath against the nearby Plaza of Divine Truth. During the battle with the temple's defenders, Iryklathagra's sweeping tail shatters the legendary Idol of Bhaelros, thus triggering an ancient prophecy. An aspect of Bhaelros (Talos) manifests in the middle of the courtyard astride an enslaved great brass wyrm. The resultant battle destroys most of Palace Ward (with the notable exception of the Pasha's Sabban) before Sharpfangs was finally driven off. »

  • After manifesting due to the actions of the blue dragon Iryklathagra and driving her away, an aspect of Bhaelros (Talos) and his enslaved great wyrm brass dragon wreak havoc upon Calimport, forcing the syl-pasha's army to battle the raging deity and his steed for three days before both are destroyed. Enraged, at his defeat, Bhaelros retaliates by raining lightning bolts down upon Calimport for a year. »
