The orcs flee into the Sword Mountains, and Phalorm (the Fallen Kingdom, as it comes to be known) collapse when its Fair Folk abandon Faerun for Evermeet. Ardeep remains an elf realm in name only. »

  • An old black dragon named Chardansearavitriol seizes the crumbling ruins of the Uthtower for his lair. He soon holds sway over the Mere of Dead Men and much of the surrounding environs. »

  • The dracolich Chardansearavitiriol's physical form crumbles into dust from the baleful influence of the god Myrkul. Followers of Myrkul travel to the Mere of Dead Men to see this supposed miracle of their god, and the Ebondeath Sect slowly forms. »

  • The Ebondeath Sect in the Mere of Dead Men collapses with the destruction of Myrkul. »

  • 1373 DR [Year of Rogue Dragons]
  • Voaraghamanthar "The Black Death" and Waervaerendor "The Rapacious Raider" (both adult black dragons), who dwell in the heart of the Mere of Dead Men in a partially submerged keep above a labyrinth of flooded tunnels, attacks Leilon. The "Wyrms of the Mere", as they are known, begins exterminating a Cult of the Dragon cell with which they had long been allied. In the hours that followed, they engulfed the city in a noxious, burning mist and slaughters over half of Leilon's militia. Once the last Cult leader was dead, they leave as abruptly as they came. »
