  • Over the next three hundred years, increasing numbers of slaves escape Calimshan and Tethyr with aid from psiarchs and monastic servants of the deity Auppenser. »

  • Hundreds of dissenters among the church of Auppenser are imprisoned in Jhaamdath. Some are publicly executed for treason, but most are released after being altered with mind-affecting psionics that instill loyalty to Emperor Dharien. Church protest over the new regime declines, and many members go into hiding. »

  • Saed (a psion), formerly a nawab on the Council of Terelve in Durpar, is transformed into a vampire and flees to the destroyed city of Vaelen (Old Vaelen), where he begins to assume control. »

  • 1225 DR [Year of the Winged Worm]

  • A Cult of the Dragon cell forms in the city of Elversult and the nearby port town of Pros. This cell worked with Hethcypressarvil, better known as Cypress the Black, a rare black dragon with psionic abilities. Although he eventually becomes a dracolich, nominally under the control of the cell leaders, Hethcypressarvil circumvents the controls used to "manage" a Sacred One and comes to dominate the cell as its leader. »

  • 1486 DR [Year of the Nether Mountain Scrolls]

  • Nightal 15 Gromph Baenre inadvertently summons Demogorgon to the Realms after weakening the faerzress (he was duped into the act believing his recent studies into psionics had revealed a way to combine it with his arcane abilities, a plan devised by Lolth). He arrives in the tower of Sorcere in Menzoberranzan and proceeds to cut a swath of destruction as he exits the city.

    The underdark surrounding Menzoberranzan becomes infested with demons. »
