Tyr's host slays Valigan Thirdborn, a lesser deity of anarchy. »

  • Alaghon, the first recorded settlement in what would become the nation of Turmish, is founded upon the southern shores of the Sea of Fallen Stars. »

  • 132 DR [Year of Thirteen Prides Lost]
  • Dempster Turmish declares himself Mayor of Alaghon. He sends his mercenaries against his rivals. A brief and bloody war erupts in Alaghon, and Dempster emerges as undisputed lord. »

  • 145 DR [Year of the Pirates' Port]
  • Dempster Turmish marches Alaghon's armies down the Turnway to besiege Hlondath. Alaghon's navy is attacked by pirate ships, enabling Hlondeth to smuggle in needed supplies and thereby outlast the besieging army. »

  • 146 DR [Year of the Risen Towers]
  • Hlondeth again defeats the armies of Dempster Turmish, thanks to the invoker Riliton Mandleweave and the Company of the Howling Harpoon. »

  • 150 DR [Year of the Lost Library]
  • Turmish rebuilds its navy to the point where they could make a third attempt at Hlondeth. As the army massed for its march, however, Dempster Turmish dies in his sleep. The attack was immediately called off. »

  • The dwarves of Alaoreum fight and win an epic battle with the red dragon Stormcrossing. The dwarves win, but the humans are alerted to their presence in the mountains of Turmish. »

  • 270 DR [Year of the Unheeded Warning]
  • Chondath troops begin massing at the soutern border of Turmish. The squabbling merchant houses of Turmish unite behind the rule of Alesam Mischwin. Turmish and Chondath fight to a stalemate and Chondath retreats. »

  • 300 DR [Year of the Late Sun]
  • Shieldmeet Mock wars are staged between representatives of Turmish and Chondath, which continues to this day. »

  • The bardic college Academia Vilhonus is founded, and starts the Turmish custom of paining dots on the foreheads of learned men. »

  • The cities of Nleeth, Amah, and Reth are established as training centers for the mock combat between Turmish and Chondath. »

  • Fire erupts in the city of Alaghon of Turmish, causing considerable damage to its granaries and shipyards. »

  • Turmish is invaded by a huge orc horde (of the Candlekairn clan) from the Orsraun Mountains. The orcs are finally routed in the summer. »

  • Mount Andrus erupts in the Orsraun Mountains. Little damage is done to Turmish, but the orcs of the mountains (specifically the Candlekairn clan) are further decimated. »

  • Hlondath is besieged by kobolds of the Tattered Cloth Legion, who are secretly dispatched by Nathglaryst, drow queen of Undraeth. »

  • 717 DR [Year of the Druid's Wrath]
  • The leaders of Turmish, a conclave of wizards known as The Windlass, send forces to engage the druids of Silvanus, known now as the Emerald Enclave. The ensuing defeat of Turmish forces helped establish the Emerald Enclave as a powerful force in the region. »

  • 724 DR [Year of the Prisoner Unfettered]
  • Two remaining wizards of The Windlass lead an assault against the isle of Ilighon, hoping to destroy the druidic (Emerald Enclave) presence there. The wizards discover that their magical items and spells did not function, while the druids' powers remained unaffected. The attack is repelled and the last of The Windlass lose their lives. »

  • Lord Saros begins shaping Turmish into one of the strongest naval powers in the Reach. »

  • 1150 DR [Year of the Scourage]
  • Battle of Morningstar Hallows
    Borran Klosk, servant of the Stalker, marches his undead armies against the cities of The Vilhon Reach. The Emerald Enclave and the Alaoreum dwarves aid the cities of the Reach in their time of need. At the Battle of Morningstar Hallows, druids cause the Alaoreum River to rise, flooding the armies of Borran Klosk. Unable to destroy Klosk, Priests of Eldath, imprison the mohrg beneath Alaghon. »

  • 1220 DR [Year of the Toppled Tree]
  • The Turmish warlord Sjorn Sendreth starts a 20-year campaign against the dwarves of the Alaoreum by attacking Ironfang Keep. »

  • 1221 DR [Year of the Frozen Flower]
  • The half-elf mage Verendra Tathtar dies. The Tome of the Morning is not found in her home in the woods. Only a note scratched into the front door, "Lathanderians, seek your book where the Morninglord walked twice".

    Only senior clergy of the faith knew of the lore, a certain mountaintop in the Orsraun Mountains north of Turmish. One priest acts on his knowledge and brings the Tome in triumph to a Lathanderian temple in Arrabar in the fall of this year.

    There, an ambitious young priest by the name of Tethtor Kandrath reminds the priests that the god wanted the Tome to be out in the hands of the people, and so volunteers to take it. The high priests reluctantly agrees, and Tethtor begins to travel and spread the word of Lathander's faith. »
