  • Flamerule A beverage called Ice Wine appears in the market of Selgaunt. Its discoverer, Ghalivar Braceltar claims that it is remorhaz milk. Sages scoff at such a claim but the drink becomes incredibly popular in Sembia, selling for one gold piece per bottle. Interest begins to grow in other Sea of Fallen Stars ports. »

  • Uktar Chessenta experiences an especially bountiful harvest. Chessentan merchants ply the entire Sea of Fallen Stars and even attempt a dangerous trek to the Lake of Steam to sell their crops at bargain prices before they spoil. A small army accompanies this latter group across the Sharr to repel repeated brigand attacks. »

  • 1371 DR [Year of the Unstrung Harp]
  • The Fifth Shalarin Passing
    Shalarins are once again swept out of the Sea of Corynactis and into the Sea of Fallen Stars. This fifth and final passing results in a permanent portal between the two seas. The shalarins of As'arem and the new arrivals endeaver to keep the existence of the portal as quiet as possible, fearing the reprecussions to both communities if word of its existence gets out to other folk of Faerun.

    In the interval between the Fourth Passing and the Fifth Passing, the Corynactisian shalarins all but abandoned their ancient deities, who had grown silent. The cult of Dagon is now the predominant religion in the Sea of Corynactis, and those shalarins opposed to its butgeoning influence were largely swept up by the Fifth Passing and deposited in Seros. Once the Serosian shalarins realize the danger, they largely cut off travel between the two communities. However, the cult of Corynactis, as it is also known, has already taken root among their community, and its ranks continue to grow in secret among their number. »

  • The canal linking the Lake of Steam and the Nagaflow River is finally completed, linking the Sea of Fallen Stars and the western oceans. »

  • Starmantle and Westgate see increased traffic from Shou across the Sea of Fallen Stars from Thesk and points eastward. Cognizant of trade opportunity implicit in the movement of so large a population, both cities seek to portray themselves as the destination port of choice for the immigrants. »

  • 1386 DR [Year of the Halfling's Lament]
  • A portion of Toril's sibling world Abeir violently exchanges places with large section of Chondath and western Chessenta. Displaced genasi from the Abeiran land of Shyr quickly set about creating a kingdom of their own.

    The former expanse of the Sea of Fallen Stars is altered when wide portions of the landscape collapse into the Underdark. When the sea level reaches its new equilibrium, the average drop in water level measured nearly 50 feet. The waters of the Vilhon Reach were similarly drained, uncovering several drowned ruins from ancient Jhaamdath.

    The shallow Gulph of Luiren is formed when the hin nation is swallowed up by the Great Sea. »

  • The Dragon Coast city of Pros petitions the Crown of Cormyr to become a vassel-state in order to protect it from the ravages of the Spellplague. Azoun V reluctantly accepts. By year's end, Pros' sister-town of Ilipur joins the Forest Kingdom as well. Unfortunately the receding waters of the Sea of Fallen Stars have spelled ruin for these small trading towns. »

  • Xxiphu, the aboleth city ruled by Eldest, appears floating above the Sea of Fallen Stars. »

  • Thepurl's Diamond, the ship of the lich Ebonsoul, is attacked and sunk by pirates in the Sea of Fallen Stars near Aglarond. »
